Mockingbird

On recent visits to the Wheeler Wildlife Refuge in my hometown, I’ve found myself embracing a new passion—photographing birds and local wildlife. Though I’ve been afraid of birds for as long as I can remember, approaching 50 seems to have awakened my inner “bird lady.” Now, what once filled me with unease brings me a sense of wonder and joy behind the camera lens.
